A Milestone Achievement for a Leading Solutions Provider to the Professional Trades

Supplying the Industry With Versatile Commercial Clean Technology

(Milwaukee, WI) – Electric technology has long been part of Milwaukee’s identity. Milwaukee Tool was founded in 1924 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by A. F. Siebert and has grown into one of the world’s leading manufacturers of battery-powered equipment.

Widely recognized as a dominant brand in the electrical and plumbing industries, Milwaukee has increasingly expanded its role as a designer, fabricator, and manufacturer of high-quality commercial battery-electric landscape maintenance equipment.

Milwaukee Commitment to the Landscape Maintenance Industry

For nearly five years, the American Green Zone Alliance (AGZA) and Milwaukee Tool have worked together behind the scenes testing equipment, gathering field data, and incorporating feedback from the men and women who operate landscape maintenance tools every day while maintaining and beautifying communities across the nation.

AGZA Independent Evaluation of other Milwaukee tools will be conducted in the future

AGZA AFTC field testing and evaluation conducted across the West Coast, Great Lakes region, and Southeast represented some of the most demanding workload environments that Milwaukee equipment was subjected to.

Milwaukee has made a strong commitment to supporting a rapidly changing landscape maintenance industry as professionals respond to gas equipment regulations and transition to lower-impact battery electric alternatives. This commitment includes designing and manufacturing high-quality commercial battery-electric equipment built specifically for professional use.

Milwaukee has also demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting AGZA’s mission to help the landscape maintenance industry transition to cleaner technologies, guided by AGZA’s two core pillars: Gas replacements must prove to be Workload and Economically Feasible.

Moving forward, AGZA testing and evaluation will transition to our long-term data collection phase now that the initial AFTC designation has been achieved.

AFTC Manufacturer Collaboration – Milwaukee

AGZA collaborates with its AFTC Field Tested Certified manufacturers to support the overall health and successful transition of the landscape maintenance industry to battery-electric equipment and operations. AGZA and Milwaukee are actively working together to determine the most effective ways to engage, inform, and educate the industry on the benefits of electric technologies, with a focus on the Milwaukee commercial lawn and garden equipment platform.

The AGZA AFTC program allows for real time feedback, and a chance for our partner manufacturers to better understand the needs of our industry workforce.

Forging New Relationships & Exploring Possibilities

Special thanks to Christian Coulis, Senior Vice President of Product Management; Ryan Schwoegler, Vice President of Product Management; Tony Buxton, Vice President of Outdoor Power Equipment; Jake Teitler, Senior Product Manager, Outdoor Power Equipment; and Bradley Herzog, Associate Product Manager, Outdoor Power Equipment, for hosting AGZA at Milwaukee’s global headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

During the visit, AGZA gained valuable insight into the drive and passion that define Milwaukee as an organization. We were especially impressed by the pride Milwaukee’s team takes in developing tools and technologies that support the success of America’s blue-collar trades and workforce.

Looking Ahead

The AGZA AFTC Certification of Milwaukee Outdoor Power equipment marks a pivotal step in the industry’s evolution toward sustainable and high-performance battery-electric solutions.
