
U.S. – Designed and Manufactured Mean Green Mowers by Generac
(Oakbrook Terrace, IL) Based on independently collected performance and reliability data from Four Seasons Lawn Service and Landscaping, Inc., Mean Green Mowers are demonstrating strong performance and reliability in a five-year case study evaluating upfront purchase cost, operating expenses, and out-of-warranty repair costs.

Four Seasons has also made a commitment to electric mowing for many of its routes. Before implementing Mean Green Mowers full time, Four Seasons mower operators completed AGZA online, classroom, and field training focused on battery electric operations, preventative maintenance, and best practices for storing, charging, and transporting electric equipment.

Equipment Procurement & Deployment
In March 2021, Four Seasons purchased three (3) Mean Green Vanquish stand-on mowers from Russo’s Power Equipment, a full-service Mean Green Mower servicing dealer (Schiller Park, IL). The mowers were placed into daily service beginning in April – spring 2021 on service routes where battery electric handheld tools are used.
Four Seasons operates under some of the most demanding mowing conditions, with high aesthetic standards and strict maintenance schedules that are critical to both profitability and client satisfaction.
Operating Conditions
The Mean Green Mowers are used under the following conditions:
Hours per day: 9 hours per machine (based on 12-hour shifts during peak mowing months. Mowers are also used to blow large parking lots, & property curbsides/sidewalks)
Days per week: 6 days per machine
Weeks per year: 29 -30 weeks
Season: Spring through fall
Turf conditions: Dry and wet (spring and fall), including moderate to heavy leaf material on turf.

AGZA Findings
Following extensive data collection and multiple field shadow visits, AGZA is confident that similar outcomes are achievable by other commercial operators, provided they commit to battery electric technology and follow proper operational, charging, and storage practices for commercial Mean Green Mowers.

Other related activities include AGZA AFTC testing of the recently launched EVO 96-inch riding mower through 2026. A recognized industry trailblazer, Mean Green Mowers continues to support the transition to battery-electric technologies with a robust portfolio of ride-on and stand-on mowers for operators and clients who value meaningful reductions in noise, localized pollution, and CO₂ emissions.
