A Milestone Achievement in Sustainable Landscape Maintenance
Driving the Industry Toward Quieter, Cleaner Technology
AGZA’s mission is to lead the landscape maintenance industry toward quieter, lower-impact technologies—without sacrificing productivity or profitability. With mounting regulations and restrictions on gas-powered tools, the industry is under growing pressure to adopt battery-electric solutions that not only match but also exceed gas performance, ensuring strong returns and maintaining efficiency.

Greenworks’ Commitment to Innovation
Greenworks continues to demonstrate exceptional commitment to this transition through significant investments in battery electric equipment research and development. The company designs tools specifically for the North American landscape maintenance sector—one known for its high standards of quality and aesthetics.

Partnership Built on Transparency and Trust
AGZA and Greenworks have collaborated through in-depth site visits to Greenworks facilities in Morristown, Tennessee, and Changzhou, China. These engagements have fostered transparency and mutual respect between the organizations. AGZA extends sincere appreciation to Founder and CEO Yin Chen for his openness and dedication to advancing the performance and reliability of Greenworks equipment.

Recognizing Key Leaders and Partners
Special thanks to Corey Fisher, Director of Vehicle Engineering, and his team for hosting AGZA at the Morristown facility, where Greenworks conducts research, manufacturing, and training for employees and dealer networks. We also thank Cater Li, Vice President of Global Manufacturing, for coordinating both the Morristown and Changzhou visits. AGZA Founder and President Dan Mabe commended the Greenworks leadership team for their ongoing collaboration, emphasizing that the dedication and vision of key individuals drive tangible industry change.

Supporting Domestic Manufacturing Growth
AGZA recognizes that equipment manufacturing is a global effort but strongly supports expanding this kind of advanced production within the United States. Yin Chen and Greenworks have made this commitment, and AGZA is actively verifying and documenting their progress. We will continue to monitor developments and share updates with the industry.

Appreciation for Collaboration and Support
AGZA extends gratitude to:
• Klaus Hahn, President, North America and Europe
• Anthony Marchese, Senior Vice President, Commercial Group
• Per Kvarby, Vice President, Commercial Product Management
Their support has been instrumental in advancing this certification. Finally, a special thank you to Edwin Henriquez, Commercial Territory Manager for Southern California, Las Vegas, and Hawaii, for his outstanding responsiveness and consistent support throughout this process.
Looking Ahead

The AGZA AFTC Certification of the Greenworks Optimus handheld platform marks a pivotal step in the industry’s evolution toward sustainable and high-performance battery-electric solutions. Together, AGZA, Greenworks, and other AFTC manufacturers will continue to shape the future of professional landscape maintenance—one innovation at a time.
