AGZA AFTC testing partners give honest feedback on Bobcat battery electric zero-turn mowers
Bobcat has officially thrown their name in the hat of battery electric ZTR mowers. AGZA informed Bobcat that our testing process is truly independent, verified, and substantiated by industry commercial operators, and is void of bold claims from manufacturers and hastily cobbled-together case studies with slick AI elements.
The Bobcat 52-inch and 61-inch deck sizes are accumulating daily field hours on some of the toughest turf types that mowers face on a day-to-day and seasonal basis. In Southern California, the Bobcat ZT6000e 52-inch ZTR has just completed a spring and summer cycle in high-heat conditions and undergone torture testing on one of the most challenging turf types, invasive warm-season kikuyu (Pennisetum Clandestinum). In the spring and summer, with fertilization and adequate watering schedules, Kikuyu grows aggressively, requiring cutting heights of 1.5 to 2.5 inches to control its rapid growth.
On the East Coast, the Bobcat ZT6000e 61-inch ZTR faced other challenging conditions with a variety of cool and warm-season turf types. Confident with their battery electric ZTR’s, AGZA will put these mowers through the fall season mulching workload gauntlet. Battery electric mowers need to be tested in the fall with mulch kits and blades specific to help operators deal with large volumes of leaf material.

AGZA AFTC Ongoing Field Testing for Milwaukee
AGZA continues robust field testing of the Milwaukee battery electric commercial platform, with results remaining impressive. Coming out of another tough spring and summer virtually unscathed, the tools, batteries, and charging systems are standing up to some of the most demanding work schedules in the industry.
Companies who bid, contract, and maintain hundreds of acres of high-end business parks must deliver impeccable aesthetics for their clients. Their profitability depends on crew workflow and the production rate capability of both equipment and operators. These crews don’t have the luxury of slowing down — any tools they use must rise to the challenge and keep pace with their incredible work ethic and laser-focused maintenance routines.
Our testing includes a full suite of Milwaukee landscape maintenance equipment — handheld and backpack blowers, multiple hedge trimmer types, string trimmers, pole loppers, pole saws, chainsaws, and 21-inch walk-behind mowers.
Additionally, we are actively testing and monitoring the Milwaukee ROLL-ON™ 7200W/3600W 2.5kWh Power Supply, which helps crews stay on schedule and maintain productivity throughout the day.
At AGZA, there are no shortcuts in our field-testing deployments. The process involves collecting data on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis. The AGZA AFTC field testing protocol does not rely on unreliable cloud-hour logging or AI-based estimations, which have proven inaccurate in assessing the real-world performance and longevity of electric tools, batteries, and chargers.

Greenworks Optimus Handheld Platform –
AFTC Field Testing Nears Completion
The American Green Zone Alliance (AGZA) is operating at a feverish pace, visiting multiple locations nationwide to conduct real-time data collection on the core tool types of the new Greenworks’ 82V Optimus line of commercial handheld lawn and garden equipment.
A key focus of AGZA’s testing is exposing tools to extreme conditions—such as intense heat and dusty environments—to measure durability and reliability under pressure. Within the Mojave Desert, some of our most trusted and experienced crews are pushing these tools through daily challenges that reflect some of the harshest real-world applications. Tools are also tested in damp, humid, and rainy conditions to understand the quality of their IPX ratings.
In addition to field testing, AGZA visited Greenworks manufacturing facilities in Morristown, Tennessee, and Changzhou, China, to conduct elevated verification of their manufacturing process. This review included:
- Battery sourcing, assembly, quality control, and testing protocols
- Circuit board and components quality control and testing protocols
- Tool material, build quality, and testing protocols
- Final assembly and packaging quality and process
- Working conditions for factory employees
